Excellent race and route. Had reservations about the new distance, having done the 10k for the last 9 years, but needn’t have worried. What a fantastic finish coming into the castle, with the view over to Crich and beyond. Great marshalls with lots of encouragement.

If this is to be the regular format for the race: more toilets needed and perhaps commandeer a village hall for sheltered changing facilities. The only 11k in the UK – let’s keep it, it’s a unique race!

Really enjoyed the race. William did too, Always like to run the local races pushing William in the baby jogger and really grateful to the other runners and Marshalls for their encouragement – Thanks.

Don’t think the 11k is too much of a problem but would attract more runners at the standard 10k – it can’t be too hard to adjust the route (turn left earlier to Scarcliffe, go through Scarcliffe up Fox Hill and back towards Bolsover along the Shirebrook Road and back along the ramper passing the old finish point into Bolsover)

Thought the Marshalls were great but the Castle staff very rude when ordering me and my family out of the Castle having been told wrongly by a Marshall (not the Marshall’s fault) that we could take the dog into the Castle grounds !!

Really enjoyed this course, first time we had run Bolsover. will do it again next year, qaulity t-shirt, marshall’s were brilliant, best we’ve come across, even the police were giving words of encouragement, thoroughly enjoyable day.. Killamarsh Kestrels.

Awesome run, first time I’ve ever ran in a race and the third time I’ve ever ran so it was a novel feeling. The finish in the castle was awesome and insipred not one kick but two as I became overcome with adrenaline at the sight. Well worth keeping the odd distance as it creates added interest in people wondering why.
Loved it.

Great run, better than the 10k, starting and finishing at the Castle was fab, no need to change the route for next year. Well done to all at NDRC. Crystal Peaks Runners.
